PP Erin welcomed members and guests to the meeting.
Guests: Wendy Taylor, Liz Farnsworth
It is club assembly / round up from the Art Show and drawing of the raffle.
Environment Award: President Carolyn accepted a Bronze Award at the District Conference for our clubs environment projects - Clean up Day on the Lee Breakwater & Nun's Beach. The Award was presented to Director Tammy Whitehead.
Rotary Hours: Again a plea from PP Veryan that all hours put in by yourself on behalf of the club be forwarded to her for collating. Volunteer hours help when we are applying for a District Grant - it shows the District Committee that our club is active in the community.
District Conference: AG Peter Simons gave us a summary of the District Conference highlighting he enjoyed, naming some very impressive guest speakers, and projects by other clubs. Attending conference is an excellent way of learning about rotary in our district, nation and international.
He also pointed out that next year it will be in Mt Gambier - even closer.
Don't forget next month Melbourne hosts the Rotary International Convention at the end of May, a truly wonderful way to see how rotary functions in the world.
