We had a fantastic series of events on July 20th - despite the weather, when all clubs in the South West Football Netball League agreed to host a sayNO2familyviolence round of matches.

Spread all around the Glenelg shire, football and netball matches were focussed at four grounds - Heathmere, Tyrendarra, Coleraine and Heywood.
There were many cheery faces depite the wind and rain.
Playing members donned some blue arm tape to acknowledge their support of the sayNO2familyviolence round.
Committee members handed out two sided information sheets at the gate, about the work of the committee and showing pictorial of signs of family violence, not just the physical signs. These include financial abuse, isolation, and sexual abuse.
With a hope of gaining a common understanding of family violence the sayNO2familyviolence we handed out nearly 150 sheets at each ground.
We are one step closer to reducing the burden of family violence in our community.
